The Sicily collection is inspired by a type of sandstone widely used on the island of Sicily. It is a calcareous sedimentary stone that is soft, reasonably porous and offers a range of colours from white to pale yellow.

The stone is very common in a number of Sicilian towns, including Siracusa, Noto and Modica, that are famous the world over for their magnificent architecture. In fact, this stone is so beautiful, Imola has decided to base this whole new ceramic project on it.
The collection is designed as a tribute to this island’s intense and unmistakable charm that combines a savage and instinctive nature with a millenary melting pot of hybrid cultures.
